Toku Eric, known by his stage name UPTEE, hails from the heart of Kumasi Asafo, Ghana. He is a young Afrobeat and Melodic Drill musician and a songwriter whose musical journey draws inspiration from the rhythms of highlife legends such as Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede,Sarkodie and Great Ampong.

UPTEE's upbringing had a significant influence on his musical path. His grandmother raised him, which contributes to his mastery in the native Twi language. UPTEE creates soul-satisfying music by skillfully combining rich melodies with the knowledge found in proverbs and old sayings.

Songs like "Maame," "Nsuo," and "Uloma" helped to create the basis for UPTEE's most recent hit, "Obi," which is going viral with over four hundred thousand streams across four platforms and an impressive two million views on TikTok, and this has opened doors and hearts, propelling him into the spotlight.
