UEW SRC PUTS BAN ON BEACH VISITATION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE - READ MORE

The University of Education Winneba's Student Representative Council (UEW SRC) has announced a temporary ban on beach visitation until further notice, following a tragic incident on February 26th, where one of our students lost their life to drowning in the sea.

UEW SRC WRITES;

CAUTION TO STUDENTS REGARDING BEACH VISITS

It is with heavy hearts that we address you today following a devastating incident at the beach resulting in the untimely loss of one of our own. In light of this tragedy, we urge all students to refrain from visiting the beach until further notice.

Your safety is our utmost priority, and we want to emphasize the importance of exercising caution, particularly when it comes to beach visits. Students should take heed and avoid the beach to prevent potential risks, particularly the threat of drowning.

We understand the attraction of spending time by the sea, especially with friends or during breaks from school. However, your safety is paramount. We urge you to consider alternative activities that do not involve water-related risks.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
